ESG Outline
Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) factors affect every company. As a primary industry consideration, it has become imperative that businesses and their investors take a proactive approach to their role as global citizens. This improves both ethical considerations, and their financial interests. Companies focusing on ESG are improving their longevity, financial standing, and relationships with their stakeholders which carries enormous value in today's market. This is driving Vista to reorient its focus on ESG.
Environmental
Vista companies assist our operating partners in the transition from 100% freshwater usage to 100% recycled produced water for their hydraulic fracturing and remedial needs. We achieve implementing the Vista Water Exchange process by following actions:
- Investing in environmental stewardship measures
- Introducing clean treated fluid (brine) from our produced water recycling units to our customers' projects
- Driving down operational expenses through efficient use of Vista's technologies, and by attaining scale with our regional partners through mutual infrastructure investment
Vista has multi-basin experience providing and executing long-term produced water takeaway agreements. While we have the capabilities to develop saltwater disposal wells, we consider disposal as a final option.
Sustainable
Operators and investors now must navigate through financial, operational, and regulatory challenges that vary from state to state in America. The Vista Water exchange is designed to promote a more ecologically friendly water sourcing and water management policy for the entire energy industry. This policy and other sustainable business practices adjoin our stakeholder's goals and pave the way to a cleaner industry for future generations.
Governance
Corporate governance acknowledges the right and responsibilities of the management of a company. At Vista, this means we are committed to corporate culture and code of conduct ensuring the highest level of business ethics, stakeholder rights, and socially just practices, as well as governance of sustainability and initiatives.
